Hi,
I need a english teacher for Bancroft's, Chigwell and Forest School, in essex/Redbridge.

For the exams in Jan 11, short notice I know, but any help would be great.
Thanks.

Hi - if anyone can help WSC then please reply by pm.

.... WSC it is quite short notice - particularly for your DC to settle down working with someone - have you been trying yourself at home? if it worth trying some different resources over xmas ?

I can't help with a tutor, I'm afraid, but agree that it might be best for you to do some work at home. You don't say what preparation your DC has done so far. Based on my own experience, I would recommend First Aid in English by Angus McIver, and the Bond Comprehension books (you would want the 4th papers). Both are available from the well-known online bookseller for delivery by December 30th.

Hi,

She has been using First Aid and also Bond conprehensions - I'm just worried she might be missing out. I find it tough to grade the essay sections of papers.

Essays are very difficult to assess, even for experienced teachers.

Although there are regular moderations, one person's 3a maybe someone else's 3b or 4c

It's a case of best fit. I much prefer marking maths!
