Hi all,

I was looking through my daughter's english answer book, and her tutor wrote wrote Enterance questions  , i just hope that it is a one off, :( she sits for her exams in a few months time. She told me her writing is well above her age group but i don't think so from the writings she does inbetween her lessons. l am not that confident in my own ability to coach her,so decided to get a tutor, really feel like giving up exams is so near

Pls do not despair or give up. I was in the same position with my DD a while back with little time left (and tutors ready to put their legs up having done their 'best' 4 this set before the onslaught of next batchof children!) but I used a set of books called "Master Tutor Teaches you how to Write". It is easy for both the parents and children to use as it breaks topics down into easy to follow steps. It also sets out the different parts of an essay writing and treated various topic which are not too far from those in real tests. It is a set of 2 (books 1 & 2). Try book one and see how you feel about it as I am sure it will help. I hope I have not breached any forum policy from what I have written as I am sure other parents will agree as to the usefulness of these little books. :?
