Hello,

My daughter is in year 4 and we live in Potters Bar (EN6),I need your advice and recommendations about good tutors for both English and Mathematics (one to one, one to group of 4,5) or good tuition centres to prepare her for the 11 plus as I'm working full time.

I am interested in enrolling her in the following grammar schools:
Dame Alice Owens School
Henrietta Barnett School
Mill Hill School
Latymer school

I would highly appreciate if you recommend based on the schools I'm interested in.

P.S Only PM please

Thank you in advance
We try to keep the forum as safe as possible - we don't allow tutors to be openly recommended, because it attracts posts with fake recommendations ('dodgy' advertising solely designed to solicit business on the internet).
It is also not unknown for unscrupulous competitors to 'plant' posts seeking to denigrate the opposition!

Genuine recommendations from forum members by PM only (private message) are permitted - but be aware of the possibility that someone who appears to be a 'helpful parent' offering advice may not be all they seem! There could be an ulterior motive.

Always treat recommendations from unknown persons with great caution.
However, we have many long standing members (check carefully the date of joining and number of posts) who make a very valuable contribution to the forum. If you receive a private recommendation from one of them, it could be worth considering.

Please let us know if you think anyone is abusing the system by soliciting for business or 'spamming'.
It's easy to report a possible problem - just click on the red exclamation mark that appears with every post and PM: Image

I think you will find that your postcode EN6 is not in the catchment area of Latymer but that will make your preparation more straightforward as you will not need to bother with NVR unless you get through to the second round of the Mill Hill exams.

CEM is going to be critical in your preparation for DAO and HBS so make sure that is top of your priority list. You won't even get to sit the English and Maths exam for HBS unless your CEM mark is in the top 300 of the 2300 marks. And you won't get your English and Maths papers marked at DAO unless you get 115 and above in the DAO CEM exam. DG
