Hi all

Would appreciate any ideas people have in terms of finding a tutor, as it seems that sometimes fellow parents with kids in the same school can keep this vital information to themselves.

For instance do state schools themselves keep a list of tutors..?

I live in a village just outside Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells and will need to find a good tutor over the next year for our DS.

Thanks everyone

The schools are unlikely to have a list of tutors, do you know anyone who has had a tutor in the past? Word of mouth is often the best way ity can be a bit of a lottery sometimes.

Hi, If current year group parents are unwilling to share names of good tutors, it is often easier to find a recommendation from a parent who has already successfully been through the 11+ and whose child has moved on to a Grammar School. They do not feel you are competing with 'their child' in the same way!
