Well it's 8am and no one has been on to post yet - so I'll be the first.

DS got offered Wilmington - so am really happy.

TWGGS on a distance of 1.5-1.6 miles (and very happy). Less happy for some of DD's friends - I've heard that the cut off for TWGGS was 1.7 miles this year - can anyone confirm that ?

Hi all,
well, we didn't get our first choice. We were given our second choice, which is still a good grammar school, but not the 'right' one, we feel, for our DD.
So, we shall appeal and go on the waiting list.
I feel torn as we are grateful that she got her second choice, and most people would be happy with it...but it isn't very strong on the sciences/maths sides of things, it is very good with the humanities etc...but that isn't what she wants. Plus the travelling arrangements are going to be awkward to say the least!

I'm told it was 407 - this is from a parent with a daughter who didn't get in. Sounds plausibly high for this year.

Was 407 for in area? The only 3 from my daughter's school all got full marks so I don't know. I have a friend who did not get in on 401.
