Nonsuch - lack of waiting list

Post by Parent1965 »

There seems to be a delay in Nonsuch issuing a waiting list, does anyone have any idea why and when it is likely to be issued?

Please see other posts in other threads concerning Nonsuch and their waiting list.

Note also that though requests to appeal had to be in by March 18, appeal forms will not be sent out until the end of this week.

nonsuch waiting list

Post by 2outof3 »

I've just checked with nonsuch about the waiting list and been told that my daughter is ranked quite highly on it. However, what I don't know is whether the school has already made some waiting list offers or when and if they think they might be sending some out. The school must know by now whether people have turned down any places?! Don't want to ring again so soon, so was just hoping someone else might have some information?!

Waiting List

Post by Parent1965 »

Hi 2 out of 3, Sorry I don't know the answer to your query, I will let you know if I hear anything but I assume that given the delay, initial waiting list offers were made for any untaken places and that the school is now full with waiting list movement now being due to somone who has previously accepted an offer dropping out (or another name being added to the waiting list).

Do you have any idea from past years how much the waiting list moves?

Finally goodluck to your daughter.

Thanks for response Parent1965.

I actually took the bull by the horns and rang the school, only to be told what you had thought, that the school has already made initial waiting list offers. They wouldn't tell me where my daughter was originally on the list or how many offers had been made. The lack of transparency is so frustrating!!!!

I don't understand how the ranked waiting list was only available on monday but offers had already been sent out. Surely the waiting lists would have to have been compiled before any waiting list offers could have been sent?????

If anyone out there has any information on waiting list offers for people in catchment (as opposed to top 50) could they please, please post. My dd has a sister already in the school and desperately wants to go there. I'm not going to get any more info from the school so really reliant on this forum!
