SATS over - time for a rest!!!

Post by honscupboard »

Hope your dcs have all had a good week and are looking forward to half term!
My dc is disappointed the post SATS school BBQ party has had to be cancelled due to weather - but has filled the recycling bin with all the practice papers!
A months break I think and then settle down for 12+ work

Lucky you.
My DS is yr 5 so has just started his week of SAT assessments. He did the reading test yesterday & told me he totally ran out of time - couldnt read the passage in the time allocation & the teacher had told them to read it through twice so he used up part of his answer time rereading it. Still, I suppose that's why they get them to do them a few times before the real thing.

Don't worry - we were like that last year - and breezed through with plenty of time to check (don't know how well dc did tho!). They get so much practice in year 6- it becomes easier to get the timing right!
