Does anyone know when the next round of allocations is for DCHS? I thought it was the 9th june but didnt hear anything.

Bucks send a letter out on 12 June but only if they're offering you a place. Then the waiting list letter goes out a week later.

after looking at our last letter it does say 19th june. Just me getting in a paddy as usual!

No we didnt appeal and we only put DCHS. As we are out of county we used one choice for part selective herts school as it is our closest, one non selective which was our safe bet back up and DCHS as our dream school. We were invited to becky high but it just wasnt right for dd and although we thought Chesham was a really great school, its just too far for her as we would really like her to stay as local as poss.

We are by no means devestated by the school offered and there are lots of plus points for dd. and as we have just received letter from bucks showing we have only moved 1 place on the list its just as well!

OK - just wondered as I knew there were spare places at Becky High - glad to hear you have got a good place secure for your DD.

Yes we have, and we count our blessings every day!! But this is a really good oppertunity to say thank you to you Guest 55 who amoungst others (Patricia, Sally Anne , mike + others ) have given us so much help over the last year. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

we havnt made it to grammar purley on the choice of schools and where we live, but we will suppliment dd's education as much as humanly possible!!
