Not sure if anyone else has picked up the proposed change in admissions criteria for next year?
Basically they have removed the priority for deanery schools and now all Catholic boys have the same priority regardless of where they live or the primary they attend. Sibling priority remains. The website is not showing the new 'draft' criteria.
I clarified this with a member of staff at the open day on Saturday.

Interesting. I wonder if lumping all C boys together will make less work for the admissions staff instead of having to sort them into separate categories. Ambrose admits way down the categories every year. eg for each of the last three years it has admitted non-Catholic boys from my kids' non-Catholic primary so maybe it no longer needs such a detailed structure.
