My nfer 11c doesn't have a q26 - so I am puzzled .

Really? There are 50 questions on the Nfer maths papers. Unfortunately, we lost paper C some time ago, so can't help

I'm sure someone will be along shortly with some advice.

Doh ! I was looking NVR not maths . Sorry ! I do have answers if that is what you need , but I shall try the question myself . Do not hold your breath

Algebra question. I will be a bit blunt, but if you haven't yet covered algebra in enough depth to answer the question properly, its probably a bit too late to do it before Wednesday, and it maybe best to concentrate on other subjects. But the basic rule is what you do to one side of the equals sign you do to the other.

However, a simple way of looking at this question is:

If y= 1/2x it cannot be y=2x

Therefore correct answer is

y=2x
