Music Tutor

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a music tutor that could take a child through the initial test (Watford area) a few times, just to get familiar with the format?

Violin for the second part of the exam, but I was more interested in the first part.

Hi Weatherit

Does your dd have lessons? I think most music teacher's can go through it with the child.

My dd had no coaching but does play flute and piano and managed to get through both aural and audition. They had a practice test first which was listening to different notes and marking answers on a paper. Then teachers went through each question with them so they had a good idea what to expect.

I'm sure she said the notes were played on a piano, maybe someone else can verify that?

For the first test they listen to a tape recording of the piano.
