appeal

Post by toy »

Congratulations to all you proud mums and dads whose children passed the exams, they deserve it.
My son's school as some of you may be aware does not support this exam being catholic. I would like to appeal as he missed by just 1 mark and I know he is very brilliant. Any advice on how to go about this would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Toy - Wasn't there any information about how to appeal in with the results letter from Bexley? I thought they did this automatically?

Do you know definitely that school wouldn't support an appeal? Or is it just that they are not interested in the 11+? Most of the primaries in Bexley are like this I'm afraid, not just the catholic ones. But it might be worth a word with your HT just to see if they are prepared to support an appeal. I do know of a successful appeal in Bexley a few years ago which I know wasn't supported by the HT. No doubt you've seen from the school admissions booklet how few appeals are successful in Bexley, but it might help if there was a particular reason for your ds underperforming on the day?

I'm sure it would be worth posting on the appeals section too. Good luck.

I've just had a word with the HT and she's confirmed that she does not promote 11plus hence unable to help in anyway. What I have though is the present class teacher willingness to provide his grades to me. How do I proceed?
Thanks
