Help choosing school for high ability child.....

Post by happybutstressed »

My little girl has made me proud and has come in the top 180 and has also got 420 on the kent tests.
She is a high abiility child and I do not know which school would meet her needs best. Know from past experience that what is on paper is not necessarily what happens in practice.

would appreciate any comments if you have had any experiences with these schools and high ability children. Thanks for any and all help!

Nearest schools are:
DGGS, wilmington, Gravesend, Townsley and BGS!

As grammars, the schools you list are all used to dealing with top scorers and very able children. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the ones in Kent but I don't think you should have concerns about any of them meeting your daughter's academic needs.

Personally, I would do the rounds on the open mornings/evenings and go for the one you get a really good 'feeling' on. Your daughter will prob have a preference too once looking around.

As she's clearly got the ability she will do well in any of them. Good luck. :)
