Time reminders

Post by b »

Hi
My DS is starting to panic and has started to ask questions about the actual day I don't have the answers to.....

Does anyone know how often they are told how long they have left when taking the tests? He's hoping they tell you a few times how long you have left???!!!

Also, do the invigilators take the stop/start timings from a wall clock, or do they have a stop watch? He thinks other children sitting the exam in another room or at another sitting may have a minute or so advantage if it's taken from a clock.

Anyone any answers so I can stop him panicking?
:?
Thanks

re timing

i was interested in this last week and have found out that it will be a wall clock so ive checked he understands a 915 verbal reasoning test ends at 1005 for example , also they are apparently told at regular intervals and as far as i know its definitely 20,10 and 5 to go and i think 5 is the last one (i would have liked 1 minute aswell in case he has to guess some)

Thanks - I think I'll take a leaf out of your book and make sure he is aware of what time time the test will finish.
I wish they gave a reminder at a minute to go too......for the same reasons.
