Does anyone have a parent's view/experience of Blundells School, Tiverton or Truro School please?

Hi northernsoul,

I have searched the forum and there isn't any info on these schools at all.
We will have to see if your post drags anyone from the depths of the South into the open. :D

No experience but Blundell's has more kudos!

this ios what a friend of mine says about it (though, aaargh, sorry, probably too late - she just mentioned it in an e-mail so thought I'd pass it on):
School is Blundell's - it suits (DS1) perfectly so was really only choice.
Nicely balanced and doesn't push academia over everything which was
important to me, having been to pushy girls' grammar school where art was a dirty word. Very strong on sport too which is his big thing. Seems to turn out nicely rounded bods, despite all the privilege. Maybe something to do with being in mid-Devon.

thank you milla. kind of wished you'd told me her experience was awful though :) as we have discounted it in favour of the grammar school! still, if we win the lottery between now and 13+.......

FINALLY! a fan of the baby.
TBH my friend chose that school out of desperation. Lives in Exmoor, failing primary etc etc (all the second homers meaning no locals to support it and so on) so she really was stuck with Hobson's Choice and put him in in about year 2, I think. Just done the exams now and passed.
