Do schools get the details of the school offer?

Post by trumpet »

When the results did not turn in October I had to get my sons results via my Head Teacher.

Does anyone know if it will be the same with the offer letters. I'm regretting not filling in my form online now!

I'd like to know that too, Trumpet.
I filled the form in on-line and I did think at the time that the school wouldn't know what I'd chosen to put down - not that it's any of their business, of course.
But when the allocations come out, who knows?

In Barnet, and in other areas that I know of, the headteacher knows the allocation results before the parents. Possibly only on the day that the letters are posted (1st March) but they definitely have access to a list of all the Year 6 allocations before the children and parents find out. Pretty unfair I think and as we also have Y6 parents working as Teaching Assistants in our school I think it is wrong that they could have early access to this information.

Hope this helps.
