Can you please help me with this one by writing the missing 2 numbers

8, 27, 64, ..., ....

They're cubes

2X2X2 = 8
3X3X3 = 27
4X4X4 = 64

so

5X5X5 = 125
6X6X6 = 216

square, cube and prime numbers crop up quite lot. It's well worth learning them , so that they will "jump out" at you

Thanks we have the ae tuition workbook and had just covered these but it didnt even occuir it was a cube. There are some good sheets there that shows these numbers. I will have to give DD a lot of practice on these then until they just jump out when she sees them

I play a game using a hundred square ( if you google hundred square, you will find lots of places you can download and one) die and counters.

land on a square number and you have to go back to the last square number
land on a prime number you go forward to next prime number
land on a cubed number and you get another go

Woodlands junior school also seem to have loads of games for some of the maths question. DD loves the computer so hopefully these games will add to the fun.

She is also struggling a bit with lines of symmetry and I have seen some games too

Has anyone used mathletics site? She has access through school but I havent really used it and wonder if it is good for practising the 11+ maths?
