Unsuccesful Appeal

Post by Spitz »

Hi

I am new to this site but have just discovered that our appeal was unsuccesful, we had tremendous support from the head and also my DS's Nanny was dying of a terminal illness at the time.

I just don't know what else we could have done, the appeal panel made some disturbing commerts during the appeal about her head which I found worrying and felt that she may be penalised because of their opinion.

There were 12 appeals from her school and none were succesful.

Is there any thing else we can do or do we just have to accept the decision.

I keep going over and over everything in my head.

Any opinions would be greatly accepted.

Welcome, Spitz, and so sorry to hear your news.

For general advice, you should read:
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/11plus ... #section-D
Broadly speaking, you cannot challenge a panel's judgement as such - provided all the proper procedures were followed.

It's difficult to give more specific advice without knowing what exactly was said, and which area you're in. There is a facility for sending confidential information if you follow the link at the top of the page.
