date schools receive results?

Having looked at posts in other area - I am wondering if anyone knows if Birmingham Education Department send the results to our schools earlier than when we receive them around March 1st. I want to know if I have to avoid headteacher in case of sympathy looks.

I have spoke to my children's deputy head. she says that offers are posted to them at the same time as offers are posted to parents. This is for children living in Birmingham. Some of the children live in Sandwell or Dudley. I don't think those LEA's notify schools outside their own area.

The deputy also thinks that they get a separate letter from the KE foundation. That is for all children at school who applied to KE grammars, not just Birmingham children.

Thanks for info. When I asked teacher at parents evening recently, she was very cagey and skirted around the issue so I was starting to worry slightly. You have put my mind at rest.
