No Allocation letter yet--Help!
Hello everyone,
Well i'm back and we still have not received our letter yet!
I am worried because apparently there is a deadline,15th March to reply.
I was really patient and only rang the council yesterday.I was told if it did not arrive by today, then ring again for a duplicate.
Well i waited for my post to arrive at 12 noon and no letter again! In fact a letter from a local school posted yesterday had arrived.
I don't understand how they can be so slack.Apparently there are many people with no letters in ds's school.
Well today i spoke to pupil services again and they said i could verbally accept if i wanted.I have done so,but i am so worried because unless i see it in writing won't believe it. I did speak to tiffin admissions and they said it HAS to come through the council.
DH is adamant that i should ring tiffin again, but i dont want to annoy the admissions lady.
How does the process work and how long should i now wait for letters?

Hi Shaftsbury1
I know the feeling. Even when you get an offer letter you wonder if you should send it back recorded or just chance 1st class post. If you send it recorded, how do you know it won't get lost once it's in the council building.
There should be a verification letter sent out by the coucil confirming they have recived your acceptance, whether verbal, written or on line.
Or it could be that we are over stressing

Yes i may be a liitle over-anxious (not helped by dh).
I think i will wait till Monday for either allocation or acceptance confirmation letter to arrive and if not then go directly to town hall and either talk to someone face-to-face or at the least hand-deliver the letter.
Oh S1, that must be so annoying and stressful! I feel all for you! Just when you thought it was all over......
Hopefully, letter will come tomorrow (fingers crossed). We replied on line and, as I don't quite trust the website after it went down, also filled in the letter and posted it. We also have another letter to fill in from the school!
Good luck

Thank you everyone,
I will definitely get a receipt!
Plum,so you got a form from school? I contacted ds's primary to ask if there was anything they could do-maybe getting letters through the internal mail? But although the receptionist was truely helpful (even ringing pupil services for me ) she said this was something between the council and myself and the primary could not really get involved!
My situation is not helped by dh who is a master worrier!!!

HI S1
Any joy yet?
Sorry to confuse - when I said letter from the school, I meant Wally Boys We had form to fill in from them to confirm that we have received the letter from the council and accepted or declined the offer. I assume they want to know so that they can start on the waiting list.
Hopefully, you'll receive it today.....
