One good reason to encourage the use of kitchen paper instead of tissue - it doesn't break up in the washer!! Don't listen to the kids protests that it hurts their noses, if they emptied their pockets (and turned their clothes the right way round, pulled their sleeves out properly, undid their buttons, pulled their socks out and took their pants out of their jeans/trousers) you wouldn't impose such draconian measures

YES!!!! and I think it was me --- with a tissue stuffed up the sleeve of dark red rugby shirt (DS has outgrown it  )

well lots of shaking the washing and a further rinse and spin cycle and togs just about presentable ...

The easy way to remove tissues from clothes is the tumble dryer.

Better still, go back to the early childhood commonsense methods of wiping your nose on your sleeve and coughing over the lunch. No more laundry disasters - apart from of course when you wash a £20 note, your 02 tickets, and your rail season ticket all in one expensive load.
