Music section

Post by T.i.p.s.y »

Dearest Mods!

Could we have a section dedicated to Music so that any items relating to music do not get pushed to the back of pages because they are less popular? There is an 11+ benefit to a music section as many grammars offer music places to 10% of their applicants.

Yours forever  ,

Yes, given that the first 4 topics on here are all music, it might be good. But where to stop? I would like an MFL thread, moi meme.

Is lots of evidence that learning an instrument helps with 11plus skills.

Also been advised that learning an instrument is good for a "bright" child who needs stretching - is this right?

It may be, but can I also put a word in for not so bright children who also have chance to shine in music, and in SEN, where I hang out a lot of the time, where there can be real, eye-watering giftedness alongside extraordinary disability.
