Travel from Hornchurch to WHSB

Post by waitingmum »

My son will be starting at WHSB in September and I am trying to figure out the best way to get to school. I have already heard about the Maymist coach but unfortunately it does not pick up children from Hornchurch. Are there any other parents out there whose children will be travelling to WHSB from Hornchurch? Please could you advise me how your children will be getting to school. I heard that the school is about 20mins walk from the station and I am a bit concerned about the summer months. I would appreciate feedback from any parents who live in Hornchurch.

Hi waitingmum, have you thought about train ?? I think you could probably get the C2C line from Upminster to Westcliff. I know that a lot of children do go by train from your area as it is quicker than driving or going by bus. Not sure, however, how far WHSB is from train station or the cost. So pleased for you all at your good news X :D Keep in touch X

Hi. I have just posted regarding a taxi service I'm trying to arrange. Provisionally, we are talking about a pick up by Balgores Lane, Gidea Park. I am on the Maymist list also but am a bit concerned regarding their professionalism and the fact the bus is so late getting home (I believe it picks up at Southend Grammar first thus doesn't get to WHSG/ WHSB until 4pm). Plus, I have no idea whether they have cover should there be any problems with their bus.

Regards,

Lee.
