Difference between a Scholarship and an Exhibition?

Post by zorro »

DS has just been awarded an Academic Exhibition at 13+ . I think it is a smaller amount financially as it is 5% and I think scholarships are 10% of fees.
We are very proud that his hard work has been recognised although of course 'every little helps'!! :D :D
Anyone else know the difference?

Usually the size of the award, certainly at Univesity Scholars get more than exhibitioners (and in some colleges, the scholars got the best rooms, then the exhibitoners, then the commoners)

OH reckons his exhibition wasn't - but that was just an Oxford college and not a school.
