mad. Ours is 3 and a half and still thinks she's a puppy. She's a very sweet dog with the loveliest nature but, sadly, a bit of a mistake really.

Dogs are a bigger commitment than children in my opinion!

At least with children they grow independent the longer you keep them

With children, you can take them on holiday

With children, when they get smelly they can shower themselves - but can make as much mess as a dog shaking themselves afterwards

It's 50/50 as to whether children or dogs cost more to raise  but at least you can get a sensible conversation out of a dog

I second that!

My dog wants to come in, he gives one bark and sits waiting patiently to be let in.

The neighbour's dog barks. And barks and barks and barks and barks and barks and barks etc, etc, etc. It doesn't matter what the time of day is, be it 7 am or 11 pm, that dog barks and they do NOT bring it in. I am on the edge of contacting the council. We cannot have our windows open, there are children far younger than mine living closer to the dog. Now, it's not the dog's fault. It's the owners. They should bring it in when it barks. They don't. He thinks it's OK to bark so continues doing so.

Dogs are great, it's owners who need seeing to!
