Yr 7 illness

Post by BarnetDad »

There seem to be quite a few girls at HBS in year 7 off with a cold/flu/viral bug. Our has not been that well for a couple of weeks and has had to take a couple of days off. I was wondering if this is just a thing going around, or that children moving into a new school tend to get hit by this. I know it happens at primary school, had always assumed that immune systems would be sufficiently developed to handle it.

Any other Yr 7s suffering from illness?

yep - with the added exhaustion of being out and about at all hours!

Couple of times there have been immunisation campaigns targetting freshers as they are at risk being large numbers of new people - the main ones were Men C and Mumps
