Swimming, rugby and cricket etc

Post by drummer »

Other than Burnham all the Grammar schools seem to be on a par academically so could you all say which school you think would best suit my son who loves sports, in particular swimming, rugby and cricket?

He is also a keen bird watcher and enjoys trying new things so a wide range of extra curricular opportunities is a huge bonus.

Thanks!

Where do you live?!

Travelling North to South is not easy - and it would not be practical to travel to some -

We are in South Bucks - we have to move soonish anyway so could move closer to a more suitable school but probably need to be within 10 miles or so of Beaconsfield

Look at DCGS and RGS both seem to have good cricket - Head at DCGS coaches one of the County junior teams - look at websites as most post newsletters and fixtures which will give you a good idea.

You can find websites through the secondary guidance booklet on:

Also it would be worth looking at the September 2007 entry to see where you needed to live to get a place this year - the updated information will be in the new Admissions booklet when it is printed.
