Where will you be on the day of the results?

Post by Faith »

Hi all. :) I was here a little bit more than two years ago when my DD was preparing for her 11+. This forum was a source of strength for me. She is now in Newstead Wood School for Girls and now it is my son’s turn. We are anxiously awaiting the results of the Bexley and Kent exams.

Where will you be on the day of the results? Have you taken a day off work? Or are you going to carry on with business as usual? What will you be doing on the 14th October 2010? :?

I'm not sure what to do? pace the floor for what may possibly be hours !!!

Or to go out and keep my mind occupied ! Can you possibly occupy your mind when the letter may be sitting on the doormat waiting??

You can bet your life the postie will be late that day!!

What will you be doing?

If you do decide to go out then please leave your wallet at home! When I was waiting for my DD's I decided to go out and ended up spending a lot of money on things I really did not need.

I am on a very long shift on that day and I won't be back till very late at night and neither is my hubby. I do have a 'plan B' though. I hope to get a night shift job with my local Post Office the night before. How I wish this desire of mine will come to fulfilment. I asked my DS this evening how he is feeling about the result he said 90% confident he did the papers well but then I was thinking what about the other 10%? We just have to wait and see. I seem to be the only one thinking and talking about the result s in my house.

48 hrs to go and I am eating so much, especially cakes and chocolates. It seems to be doing the trick but the pleasure wears off very quickly.

I was advicing my dd not to be anxious as everything will fall in place, dh said the only person that needs to be told that in our house is me!!!!

I will be working from home on Thursday, gosh can't bear the afternoon sch run and everyone asking at the sch gates.

Well just 24 hours to go!!!

Thank goodness its almost here at last

Good Luck to all those waiting for results - I hope we all get the news we want tomorrow.

Whatever happens I couldn't be more proud of my ds as I am right now. He has worked so hard and did his very best - who could ask for more than that!

It is an anxious wait. I did it two years ago fro my DD and it didn't bother me as much, as it happends she got in the top 180, passed Kent with flying colours and went to Newstead Wood. Now, going through is again with my DS I feel much more anxious (although I'm trying not to show it!). I think I will stay out of the hosue until he is in from school as I have promised nto to open it.
