To Appeal or not to..................

Post by loli34 »

It was a fail in our house 118 and 114............... feeling very delated, but trying not to show it.

DS had a few initial disappointed tears but had been holding up very well and 24 hours later its like 11+ what 11+

We are going to make an appointment to see the Headteacher and we will take it from there.

Would be interested to who hear from anyone else who has any similar experience, I know I need to start a thread in "Appeals" but am interested to hear from any Bucks people.

Hi loli

I have replied to you on your thread on Appeals.

If any parents who have been to an appeal in Bucks wish to offer moral support to you, they are welcome to do so here, and the appeals thread can be used for the "technical stuff".

Hi Loli34 and Chopsy

So sorry to hear your news. We have been through 2 appeals in our house, it is a stressful experience but worth it if you feel your child/children will thrive at a grammar school. My advice would be to speak to the head teacher and the child's teacher and see what evidence you have and then 'go for it' if you feel it is the right thing to do.

It does take over your mind for the next couple of months but try not to let it stress you out too much (easier said than done :!: )

I know how you feel  :? :( . Thinking of all who didn't get the results they expected, cyber hugs coming your way.

Hi hope, thank you for your kind words. Somehow, nothing seems to be taking the pain away from my twins. As parents we are always there to alleviate the pain of a fall, knock etc, but this time, its all just out if our hands. Feeling incredibly useless:( :( :( .We are going in on Monday and we'll find out the next steps to this long long ling process. Loli, I feel for you too.x

Thanks Chopsy and Hope

Good luck with everything, I have been frantically reading up on Appeals etc, it is all rather overwhelming. I will be contacting the school tomorrow to find out where we go from here.
