Appeal questions

Post by DaisyS »

Hi everyone,

I'm preparing for my daughter's 11+ appeal in a few weeks, stressful times!, and wondered if anyone could share with me the types of questions that the panel might ask. Clearly the general questions rather than case specific!

Thank you!

Welcome.

Have you seen the Q&As? For example:
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/appeal ... ication#b7" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/appeal ... cation#b27" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm assuming your appeal is against non-qualification. (You don't say.)

Thanks. This is helpful.

The appeal is against non-qualification, i.e. not getting 121, but coming close. We have based our case on some specifics which we are comfortable with and (hopefully!) be able to answer questions on, but what we were wondering is what 'other' questions they may ask, what broader issues they will want to probe in addition to the specifics that we outline in our case. I've heard a couple such as what books the child reads or what they want to be when they 'grow up' etc, but wondered what other people's experiences were. Trying to predict the unpredictable perhaps!

thank you!

You should find previous questions in the feedback section:
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... =35&t=9205" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

However, I wouldn't worry too much about general questions as they're unlikely to affect the decision - although if the answer to "What books .....?" were to be "Only comics", there'd be a lot of ground to make up! :)
