Has anyone received an offer from Latymer Upper yet?

Post by Dreamer »

Reading several posts regarding offer letters received from Indies, I am a beginning to feel a bit uneasy that dont we have to wait until the dates in the prospectus for offers. Or is it the brighter candidates are given a choice to pick first???

We are interested in LU for our DC so is there anyone who has heard from them already? :?

We did not apply to Latymer Upper but I'd be surprised if any school would send letters before the date they stated in the prospectus. Some indies set the date earlier than others.

Also, some schools shortlist for academic scholarships and then run a separate interview/ test for those shortlisted, so it's possible to have a good idea of where DC stands, but then other schools don't run extra tests and don't tell you if DC is being considered for the scholarships or not.

I wouldn't worry if I were you, it's not too long to wait now.

Indies usually stick to their dates, it is just that the dates vary by school. DC was 2nd March last year, the day that acceptances were due for another school. Everyone will get their letters from a particular school (be it acceptance or rejection) on the same day. The waiting is horrible, but soon we can regrowing our fingernails.
