Scholarship
My dd received the offers from LEH and Latymer Upper. They both offered academic and music scholarship.
Does anyone know how many children are given academic scholarship? If we turn down the offer, the scholarship would be given to another child or it is just discarded? If the child was offered 100% bursary, would she still have the chance to get scholarship?

Re: Scholarship
I dont think it goes back in the pot, well certainly not here in brummie land. We are going to give 2 back and it will not be passed back.
Re: Scholarship
I think they do.
A few years ago we knew of someone offered the LU sports scholarship who decided to go to another school. Coincidently we also knew the person who ended up accepting it.
And well done!

Re: Scholarship
I think it varies from school to school what they do with rejected scholarships. But if your read the LEH website, it says you can have both scholarship+ bursary, however you will obciously not get more than 100% of the fees covered, i.e if you are on 100% bursar you get the honour of the scholarship, but it won't make any financial difference (except music scholarships get music tuition paid for) Not sure what happens if you have say 50% bursary.
Re: Scholarship
Well done to your DC, our DS has also been offered an academic scholarship by LU. Really pleased for him as DS loved the school and wanted to make sure for us that it was a real option. Now waiting for 1st March to make a final decision.
