Appeals for admissions to schools
Can anyone give me advice on the appeals for secondary schools. We have just been through an horrendous time with a non qualification appeal and we are here again hair going grey & feeling very stressed so any info greatly appreciated.

Thanks Etienne for the link have had a good read! What is
classed as good social evidence? Is the Panel structure the same as the non qualification panel?

A couple of examples:Lookinglass wrote:Thanks Etienne for the link have had a good read! What is

(a) The child has endured some trauma or tragedy. Needs the support of friends. All the friends are going to the school being appealed for, none to the allocated school. (Primary school confirms that this is true, and supports the appeal.)
(b) Persistent bullying (lots of supporting evidence with regard to frequency and severity). The bullies all attend the allocated school. The school being appealed for is the nearest or most appropriate alternative.
Yes, at least one lay member, and at least one member with a background in education. Is the Panel structure the same as the non qualification panel?
