Fee Increase / Recession

Post by lefol »

Got a letter informing me that annual fees for September 2011 will be going up by £255, has anyone else received a similar letter for their ds or dd? It is about a 2% rise .

We haven't had the 'delight' of knowing what DD's school fee increase will be yet but if it was about 2% I would be really pleased. Last year our fees increased by about 7% which I thought was a lot given the current economic climate. Only four more terms of fees to pay (not wishing DD's time away but it will be nice not to have that bill come through the door anymore). :)

4.4% here - what a nerve! This is definitely higher than the previous two years (I was checking out the typical increases before ds joined the school). Considering there is a bulge class in his year I think we should get a flippin' discount!!

Absolutely dreading the fee increase. Not heard how much, yet.
Bursary forms are completed annually too. Ours went back a fortnight ago and we will hear from the Bursary in June. Any increase in our contribution could well mean a school move. :(

I called our potential senior school to find out how much the fees will be in September and was advised to budget for a 5% increase. Hmmm scary

2% here for which we are very pleased especially considering the school froze fees last year in recognition of recession hitting parents.

Fantastic Freya that your school could afford to freeze fees for a year and only 2% ris this year.
