Help! Calming down strategies urgently needed

Post by Missy9 »

Dear all,
As you may know, I am taking my 11+.
I need help with calming down because I am so scared and I can't stop thinking about it every day!
Thx -
Missy

I have found an APP for that.
DD uses it to get to sleep and helps with exam stress. She
Loves it.
It uses NLP techniques and deep relaxation.
Before using it make sure an adult has OK'd it first.

Dear Missy,

The test is important but you should not spend time worrying about it. Do your normal practise papers and homework and then spend your time on other activities that will take your mind off the 11+ such as outdoor activities in the fresh air. You do not want to make yourself sick by worrying all of the time.

Get lots of good sleep and eat healthily, this will help you feel strong and better able to deal with any stress you are feeling.

Don't spend too much time reading sites like this as they are designed for adults.

Unfortunately I don't think I can tell you the name of the App as I don't want to break any rules re advertising. ( you would need to pay for it.)

Please don't obcess about the 11+ (because that is our job as parents.) You just have to do your best and know that it is not the 'be all and end all'. It is just another test.

I wish you good luck in September and please don't worry.
