We are! Well, my son is. I'm starting to count down the months, but I'm also quite philosophical now - I've gone through the stress stage and now I think it's too late to worry, if he doesn't know most of it by now, we've got no chance. Probably will go back to the stress stage nearer the time.
Just started to look at registering for Kent and Bexley.

Yep we're there, DD is taking the test, very nervous indeed as she's struggling with VR but hey we can only keep trying

Hi all,
We're part of the Sept 2011 Gang. DD will be doing Kent and Bexley. It suddenly seems to be getting very, very close and feels very, very scary!
I'm trying to maintain a good balance at home and not overload DD with too much 11+ work, but to keep things as light as possible and organise lots of fun outings and activities as well.
DD finds VR to be her easiest subject, followed by Maths and then NVR.
How are you all getting on?

We're in it too, registered DD2 already
This will be my 3rd time. DD2 is desperate to get into GS like her big sis. So we are doing a little prep each day focussing more on maths b4 moving onto practice tests later on and i'm so glad we have all summer to do these at a relaxed pace! Before we started, I was unsure if it was the right thing for her, but after a little prep, she has really surprised me! The prep has done wonders for her confidence and whatever the outcome, I believe she will have benefitted greatly from the experience!

Count me in !
DD doing a little work ( 10 min tests ) each day of half term. Just drip feeding whenever we get time. I think we will step it up a bit in the summer holidays by doing the full tests.
I haven't registered yet but plan to next week when they are back at school.

Re: Sept 2011 - who's out there?
Hello to all the 2011 gang.
I'm feeling nervous and quite obsessed about it all.
It is so lovely to feel part of this community without all the pretentions that some parents have.
DD seems to take it in her stride but I feel she makes silly mistakes which lose her valuable points.
We've been doing full length tests for a few weeks and it appears VR might be a little stronger and Maths a little weaker.
We are quite lucky to have a back up to the GS as we attend church 2/3 times a month. This should take some of the pressure off DD, unlike some in my area who say Grammar school is 'the only option'.
I will registering within the next week and then it will feel very real.
Here's hoping we can help and support each other on this rollercoaster of a journey.
