Re Burnham GS and science subjects offered

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if BGS offer all science subjects at GCSE, have been trying to find this info but a little confused, with what they did offer and what they offer now. I know it specialises in science, just want to know which subjects, will be grateful for any info, have searched their website, but cannot find the info. Thanks.

They do all three sciences separately. I think about 80% do this and the rest do the double science GCSE.

like scary said, all sciences on offer, DS is in Y9 and will be doing all 3 for GCSE

Drummer, is your DS doing some exam modules this year for science, or have they stopped that? As they are recruiting students into year 10 I wondered if they had decided against it this year. Last year the new year 10s (only a handful of them) did the modules with the people retaking in January.

yes, something has changed my DS says, he thinks they used to sit some exams in Y9 but no longer.

I think it is a good change as I don't think Unis look favourably on exams being taken spread out over time, preferring instead to see what the pupil can do when having to take all exams together.

I agree. The current year 10s exams for three modules of each science in year 9, three in year 10 and then whatever is left in year 11. They have also done geography in year 10 which I think they have also stopped.
