if it is a general open day they are usually for parents and children ... (have taken children of all ages to open days and tripped over pushchairs etc)

It can be quite motivating for dc too. Took dd2 to visit KECHG just before the summer and it was very busy. Hit home for her, the number of ke hopefuls intent on passing the exam.

I attended the open day, this morning.

I liked the school's facilities, especially the science block.

Not too sure about A'Level results; more solid than spectacular.

They mentioned moving to IGCSE's in Maths, and individual sciences a year later. Nothing mentioned about Pre-Us. Interestingly, a teacher mentioned that rigour in GCSE/IGCSEs and A'Levels will be moving upwards in the next two years.

Overall, a good school.
