Late Transfers

Post by markusha »

On page 28 of the 2011/12 "Guide for Parents", there is a paragraph about in-year late transfer and the ability to apply for late 11+ testing up to 29 July preceding September year 7 entry. On page 37 of the current new version of the more user-friendly guide (not) there is a table referring you to Section 2 for applications received after 1 January 2012, but nothing in the text - or on the Bucks CC web site that I can find - covering applications after 31 October 2011. Can someone please point me to the late testing rules for September 2012 entry applications after 31 October 2011 - in black and white? Many thanks indeed.

Why don't you phone Admissions and get their reply in writing via an e-mail?

The BCC website crashed while I was trying to hunt the information down, but I suspect there is nothing on there. There are very few cases like this each year, so it probably doesn't occur to them to include much information about it.

As Guest55 says, drop them an email or call them to ask what the process is. I suspect the answer will be that it is pretty much the same as for "timely" applications, except that your school preferences will not be taken into account for the first round of allocations on 1st March, but only entered into the next available round after testing has taken place.

Based on the GS I assume you are interested in, that won't be a problem. :D
