GL Assessment Verbal Reasoning - Pack 2 Paper 5
Hi,
I hope this question has not already been asked, if it has then could someone please direct me to the post as I cannot find it.
We got stuck on the following question:
3 [5] 16
4 [10] 28
5 [?] 10
The answer is 0 but I don't understand why?
Thank you.

This is my take on it:
3 [5] 16: 16/2= 8, 8-3=5
4 [10] 28: 28/2=14, 14-4=10
5 [?] 10: 10/2=5, 5-5=0
Hope this helps

4 [10] 28: 28/2=14, 14-4=10
5 [?] 10: 10/2=5, 5-5=0
Hope this helps

Hi,
the above looks like the correct technique, but i would of added the 1st and middle numbers and x2 =3rd no. If you see the pattern in the 1st 2 then the third one should follow suit. Normally i think it is preferred to work with the outside no.s.

I think it was a difficult paper compared to pack 1, but once you go over the questions and the techniques you could use for each one they should be fine.ReplayMum wrote:Thanks colourful-rainbow for posting this question.

Hi I think
3+5 = 8x2 = 16
4+10 =14x2= 28
5+0= 5x2 = 10
MA
3+5 = 8x2 = 16
4+10 =14x2= 28
5+0= 5x2 = 10
