HSFG as first choice

Post by stressedoutmummy »

This is just a post to get some idea of who has qualified for HSFG, but plan to take up a place at another school. I know that many girls will go to Pate and SHS, but just curious how many on here are planning on going to another school. At first I thought it was quite selfish to do this, but if we have a thread on here which gives us all a better idea of what may be to come, won't it be helpful? :)

I know I need to just let this lie and hope for the best, but the thought of waiting until March, well isn't it terrible?!

This is not going to help you but my daughter also got 218 for HSFG and I will be watching this with interest.

I currently think we will put that as first choice. I have to say that I currently do not know much about Ribston but will be looking into that. We live in Cheltenham and the traveling aspect does bother me, more so now I know she stands a chance! Score was 232 for Ribston and 222 for Pates (!).

How funny, we got the same scores for all schools!! The travelling doesn't bother me so much (we're also in Cheltenham), but it is an expense. Happy to pay it if we get into HSFG!!! :D

My DD got 222 for HSFG and it is her second choice, Her friend also got 222 and it is her Second choice too, My DD's first being Stroud High and Friend being Ribston....They both scored 234 for Shs and Ribston and are ranked 132 and 133, Just wondering also where people are falling with this?

DD got into top 120 at SHS and Pates as well as her good scores for HSFG and Ribston
We are tossing between SHS (10 min walk) and Pate's (which DD loves) so there're our slots at HSFG and RIB freed up.

I have this image in my head of the lot of us driving and bussing around the country in crossing over directions, me and others from Stroud to Chelt, You guys from Chelt to Glos, some others from Glos to Chelt etc. in this weird ballet each morning and evening.
