distance from home to school
I found this website for calculating the distance between two places in a straight line.

Really useful. I am reassured to find we are only 1.9 miles from UGS - even closer than I thought. Having heard of successful appeals yesterday DS is becoming anxious about not being offered a place . I am struggling to find a second choice as a back up balancing journey times, curriculum, single sex vs co-ed, sport vs drama etc.
