Any suggestions for a good all round hybrid bike for around 300-500 squids please?

My son has the Giant CRS, cost of 375 two years ago(probably 425 now). It has been a great bike, fab gears and control, which he has taken on tours of Europe with his school. I have even been riding it myself recently.Thumbs up from us both!

For you? A child? Teenager?

If a child, Islabikes are fabulous.

Thank you, I found Evans cycles in Birmingham and Rutland cycles. Just sorting hybrid spec for a beginner, they are not what they used to be in my youth!!

You can get some bargains on eBay. I got a Dawes Discovery 501 in excellent condition for about half the new price.
