KS3 Maths dictionary recommendation

Post by Me2010 »

Could anyone recommend a maths dictionary. I have looked on Amazon but there are so many to choose from I don't know where to start. DD1 has just started in year 7 and has always been very capable in maths but had a tricky piece of homework this week about shapes and I thought a maths dictionary might be the way forward.

Many thanks

Don't know about a Maths dictionary, but in my opinion you could do a lot worse than the CGP KS3 revision guide - it costs around £5. It covers all the basics in enough, but not too much, detail and is an entertaining read which is a bonus. DS2 (Y6) uses the KS3 workbook and revision guide to keep him interested in Maths as he finds the KS2 work at school "boring". DS1 (top set in Y9 at GS) uses the revision guide just to clarify topics he has not quite grasped in class. Even OH has read the revision guide and said he wishes they did text books like these when he was in school.
