I think you need to say which area as it seems to depend on which tests are being sat.

In Glos. (where the tests are set by GL Assessment) the children are not allowed to write on the test paper. They are provided with scrap paper.

GL policy on writing on the test papers varies by region. I think it is up to the relevant School/LA to decide policy. So as Scary mum has already stated - it depends.

Using the search facility here http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... search.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - which is located at the top right hand of the screen (just under the services tab).

A search on scrap paper in the Essex Redbridge forum yielded several results. So unless someone comes forward who knows better, I would think it safe to assume you can't write on the text booklet in Redbridge.

Does anyone know the 'writing on the paper' situation for the Southend schools? SHSB in particular?
