Appealing on 120 in Bucks

Post by bukitlawang »

Hope you can give me some advice. We have found ourselves in the position of having to appeal for our sons gs place as he scored 120/120. We have full support from the ht who ranked him as 2/2 before the test. Am i being naive in thinking that this is enough evidence of academic ability and therefore suitable for a gs education? or do i need to find extra evidence and if so where from? Please help thanks.

Thanks for the links and found them useful. But is relying on the ht's acedemic evidence considered a strong enough case for success alone? Has any one had any experience of this? (By the way son is predicted high level 5's).

I wouldn't risk it myself - panels need to be persuaded the the 11+ results were not inddicative of your child's ability.

I understand that about 10% of children in Uppers have three level 5s ... so that in itself is not enough.
