Special Needs Pates Test
Hello!
My son has a full time statement for a physical disability.. he finds writing difficult and uses a laptop at school.
My question is, does anyone have any experience on using a scribe in the test and what Pates thought is on this?
Thanks

Re: Special Needs Pates Test
It wouldn't be down to Pates, but down to all the the schools, as they agree things like that well before the exam. If you felt Pates might take a hard line, why not take the test elsewhere, as it doesn't have to be taken at any particular school (and does not affect the outcome).
Make sure that you send plenty of evidence as to his needs in when applying for the test. You may find that he'd be in a room on his own (with scribe & invigilator) so as not to disturb others with talking to the scribe.

Well the time is approaching! Thank you for that, am asking the Advisory Teacher to write a letter of support. Time is the biggest issue and fatigue for him, will see what happens!
