Sevenoaks reserve list

Post by IngaL »

Does anyone have experience with Sevenoaks? We were placed on the Reserve list. Are there any chance to receive an offer in March?

Well done for getting a WL place! Do you know your DC's position on the list? Were you looking at boarding place, or day ? (assuming the latter as you are also enquiring about Colfe's)

Thanks. We are looking for a day place and don't know yet the place on the WL. I hope to find out next week.
They said at the orientation that they do have quite a few openings each year, so I was wondering if anyone has been on the WL last year or has any ideas what are the chances.

WL chances are usually better at 11+ than 13+, as a lage number of pupils will also have sat 11+, and opt for the grammar school route. (....there being very good local grammar schools available). If you haven't arranged to see Head of Admissions to discuss your DS's position, it may be well worth your doing so, as she is very helpful, and it can but re-inforce how keen you are for your son to attend (as one assumes you are).
Places do become available, even at a later date / during the summer months, but it will vary from year-on-year.

That may seem somewhat vague, but it's not a precise science!
