Rugby School - how much are "extras" over and above fees.

Post by julia99 »

Rugby have offered a scholarship but we have to find the remainder plus "extras".
What are the "extras"? If you have a child at Rugby can you give me some idea how much more I will need to find? Or can anyone suggest what the "extras" are?
Thank you.

Hi there.
I have replied to your PM.
Essentially, it's exercise books (not many at all), text books but they can be bought secondhand, trips, instrumental lessons, school photos if you order them, mouthguard if you wish, any special lessons such as support for dyslexia. Art supplies.
We pay at least £100 per term.

Generally with most independent schools you'll still have meals, travel for coaches if used and exam fees to consider.

Not meals or coach travel for Rugby. I assume that there are exam fees but we haven't reached that stage yet with either of ours, so I cannot comment.

Just googled Rugby and I can see why they wouldn't be needed
