The Benefits of Being a Twelve Year Old

Post by pheasantchick »

Overheard this on a kids television programme yesterday and thought I'd share it, especially as I know there are so many year 7 parents around.

They said that the benefits of being a 12 year old was that, if you wanted you could still act like a nine year old, and play with younger toys, but at the same time you were beginning to creep into young adulthood, and could be treated as such, so could benefit from older privileges as well.

I apologise , my tenses seem all over the place in the above paragraph.

I suppose it depends on the particular company they are in :? I've just spent the day apologising every 2 minutes for my supposedly mature 12 year old..whizzing about like an idiot with the shopping trolley , jumping in a thomas the tank engine and rolling about on the floor at my parents.

The only thing mature about him is his fluffy moustache .
